Hard to believe just a little over a month ago I was still wearing fur! This collar is so soft and sumptuous and happens to be the perfect length for this zara coat! And can you believe the shoes, definitely inspired by Theyskens Theory.

I got an email from ShopNastyGal and scanned through some of their new items...low and behold there it was, a pretty much exact replica of the Rag & Bone Newbury boot so coveted for the past year or so. The shoe pictured on the right is the Rag & Bone boot and the version produced by Jeffrey Campbell named the Big City Boot. I wish it came in a less shiny leather or a taupe suede...Jeffrey Campbell if you are reading this please make a distressed black version just like the one I pictured! If you are going to knock something off you might as well go all the way!!

On thing I do give JC credit for though is making comfortable shoes, then I guess for the price they should be comfortable!

Because spring fashion shows preview fall fashion, I've decided to post a fall outfit. Though really it's because I haven't uploaded any spring looks yet and like I said in yesterday's post I'm super backlogged so expect to see random winter looks pop up in the middle of summer, you know just for fun!



And by the way can I tell you how ecstatic I was to find this giant scarf at H&M? I'd been searching for something similar forever and almost spent an outrageous amount of money on Etsy to have one made. A random stop at the H&M in Georgetown and low and behold there it was, the only one left! You can be sure I'll snuggle up in this scarf all next winter too.

Every time I visit my own blog I wish I blogged more. But it's so time consuming!! I'm at such a back log of outfit posts that I don't think half of them are relevant for the season anymore. But then maybe I'll post my snowy landscapes on the hottest day of summer just so I know there is an end to the heat!

coffee filter flowers

I've been totally obsessed with making coffee filter flowers since I saw it on martha stewart. After some googling I found a variety of tutorials online and tried them all. From various coffee filter rose making methods to peonies which turned out to look more like carnations I think. I even came up with my own version below, which looks more like a peony I think than the ones produced by the tutorials I found online. Though I think it also somewhat resembles a magnolia.

These photos were actually taken last year during early summer after a thunder storm, but I never got a chance to post them. They seem just as relevant today as they did then. I can see the pops of red and the kimonoesque top becoming staples again as we warm up to spring.
