A few weeks ago we had one of the warmest winter days I've ever experienced in the DC metro area. This must be what California winters feel like. Of course it was followed by sub-arctic temps a few weeks later...

This shearling jacket I picked up from Kiliwatch in Paris was the perfect security blanket for a warm day that promised to turn into a chilly night. I wish I had more time in that store to peruse the piles and piles of vintage. But with only 20 minutes before close I only managed to snatch up some leather shorts, a furry vest, and this jacket. I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it for it's close resemblance to the Acne Velocite jacket.

We stopped in our favorite spot in Georgetown, Bistro Francais for a late lunch and scored a great little table right next to their open window. A glass of wine and some escargot was the perfect way to enjoy 70 degree weather in the middle of December.

I've been mildly intrigued with red pants since a few years ago. When I saw these moto coated ones at zara I posted about a few months ago I had to get them right away. The coating makes them almost leather like and the quilting and moto detailing are kind of perfect.

The isabel marant berry boots, while very beautiful, are a bit trendy for my taste. I spotted some pretty decent knock offs from Zara here and here that could fit the bill for an embroidered boot. And even better, they are on sale and going fast!

Oxblood or burgundy, whatever you want to call it, deep rich reds seem to be the color of the season. These booties caught my attention immediately at the H&M and Tysons. I had seen them online, but not in stores.

They only had a size 37 left which are slightly too big, but I got them anyway! Paired with all neutrals here to make the boots really pop.

I searched for ages for a plain brown belt with an unobtrusive buckle, mission not accomplished, until I wondered into the men's department at H&M looking for a belt for sean. So many things can be easily solved by going to the men's department of stores.

I bought this coat from zara last year and wore a tons, just never got around to photographing it. Originally I wanted the black one, but it sold out so quickly so I settled for the old man checker and now I'm glad I did.

These boots were an impulse buy from zara too last year, and again I had wished they were black, but again I'm kinda glad they're a dark "oxblood" like red. Who knew it would be "the color" of the season. I am wise beyond my years.
