I've been totally obsessed with making coffee filter flowers since I saw it on martha stewart. After some googling I found a variety of tutorials online and tried them all. From various coffee filter rose making methods to peonies which turned out to look more like carnations I think. I even came up with my own version below, which looks more like a peony I think than the ones produced by the tutorials I found online. Though I think it also somewhat resembles a magnolia.

These photos were actually taken last year during early summer after a thunder storm, but I never got a chance to post them. They seem just as relevant today as they did then. I can see the pops of red and the kimonoesque top becoming staples again as we warm up to spring.

I've discovered a renewed passion for bubble tea. It's not so much the bubbles I like, actually I rarely ever get bubbles, but the pudding. It pairs perfectly with the milk tea both hot and cold.

Dubbed my gaga boots, I am still wearing the jeffrey campbell lita's from last year. And yes I do still love them...mostly for the softness of the suede, antique wooden heel, and neutral color.

Remember the alexander wang sweater I drooled over and the subsequent knock off by free people?

Well quite a few months ago when it was still summer actually I found this very similar version on ebay for a steal. I'd been waiting for the perfect chance to wear it out in all it's slouchy glory...doggy was not included!

I'm not a huge fan of mixing brightly colored clothes (well except for that time I wore this combo, but the red pants make the purple flats less old ladyish), but the clash of scarlet lips and streak of bright orange dress was just right. Felt like a fire rocketing through the baby shower I attended in this ensemble.
